License Activation
Activating a License
- Go to Settings > Account
- Enter your license key
- Click "Activate"
- The license is validated with the server
- Features are unlocked immediately
License Response
Activation returns:
- Plan information (slug, name)
- License status and expiration
- Seat information (for Team plans)
- Available features list
- Digital signature for offline verification
Grace Mode
If your license expires, a grace period allows continued access:
- Features remain available during the grace period
- A notification reminds you to renew
- After grace period ends, features revert to Free plan
License Validation
Tablen validates your license:
- On app launch (session check)
- Before premium feature access
- Periodically during active use
- Offline validation uses cached session data with signature verification
Offline Support
- License status is cached locally
- Cached validation works when offline
- The signature ensures cache integrity
- Reconnection triggers a fresh validation
Feature Gating
Features are gated based on your plan:
- The
featuresarray in the session response controls access - UI elements for locked features show upgrade prompts
- Connection limit is enforced based on plan
Seat Management (Team Plan)

Adding members beyond the seat limit requires purchasing additional seats.
Deactivation
Deactivating a License
- Go to Settings > Account
- Click "Deactivate"
- The license is released from this machine
- Features revert to Free plan
Deactivation frees up a seat (for Team plans) that can be used on another machine.
Machine Fingerprint
Each activation is tied to a machine fingerprint:
- Generated from hardware identifiers
- Ensures licenses are used on authorized machines
- Deactivation releases the fingerprint
Payment
- Pro Plan: One-time purchase via Paddle
- Team Plan: Monthly subscription via Paddle
- PPP (Purchasing Power Parity): Available for eligible countries
- Perpetual License: Pro plan purchases are perpetual (not subscription-based)
Upgrading
Free to Pro
- Purchase a Pro license
- Activate in Settings > Account
- All Pro features are unlocked immediately
Pro to Team
- Subscribe to the Team plan
- Activate the new license
- Team features are enabled
- Invite team members
Plan Changes
- Upgrading preserves all your data and settings
- Downgrading disables premium features but preserves data
- Connection data is never deleted during plan changes
